For all home improvement projects, power tools are an absolute necessity. There are some basic power tools such as jigsaw, circular saw, sander and router that are most commonly used. Circular saw is excellent for cutting down wood, especially sheet materials and plywood. Sander uses power for sanding, and hence saves incredible amount of drudgery and time. Jigsaw is used to cut patterns and holes in the panels, and routers can be used for various small projects that need making recesses and grooves. Various Power Tool Accessories Bit set is one of the most common power tool accessories, and includes bits of most common sizes to complete daily tasks. There is also a hex shank locking system that prevents the problems of spinning bits while working on the projects. The changes are easy and quick so that the job can be finished faster. Some of the most commonly used power tool accessories include alignment tools, drill and drill press accessories, bases, stands and supports, multifunction table, motor accessories, lathe accessories, jigs and fixtures, table saw accessories, pneumatic accessories, INCRA Miter gauges and reciprocating saw accessories.

Compact drill is a good value

I needed this drill for a specific job, and it performed very well. I continue to use it occasionally. I find the variable speed hard to control. It has a hair trigger. It would be easier to control the speed if the trigger spring was stronger.

I don’t know how it would stand up to hard use, but at the price who cares.

I’ve had this little drill now for 10 months, using it only occasionally. It does fit into small places; it’s a cheap knockoff; the “toothed” part of the chuck does not extend very far making chuck opening adjustments a little tedious. I haven’t had any problems with the variable speed paddle. I can start a fractional drill bit by using slow speed then speeding up as necessary. The span needed to hold and apply the paddle is a little large to my liking. I am average build (5′10″). Probably a larger person would have no problem, but for occasional use I am satisfied.

Delivery prompt, product is as advertised. It is identical except for case color to one I bought from Klingspor about 2 yre. ago. It failed internally. I really don’t expect more than 18 mo. to two years of service from it. I think the first is repairable buy since the mfg. is China there is no source for parts that I know of. At it’s price I can buy one every two years and still get 10-12 years of service versus a “name” brand. Bottom line is don’t expect it to last more than 2 years as a moderate user. For example I use mine 1-2 times per month. Not very good is it?

I bought this thinking “what a good buy.”

When unpacked from the box and triggered on, it went for approximately 2 seconds before self-destructing in a cloud of ozone.

    Not so good.

    Great Performance

Totally satisfied with the value of this tool. I do a lot of sanding and polishing with 3 inch disc and I have hundreds of hours on this thing already and no problems. I do use it to drill holes from time to time and that is no problem at all. It also has a lot of torque and that is handy at low speeds. It is a little heavy compared to an air polisher so my wrist had to build itself up to handle it but it does the same job and don’t blow out air compressors and does it with a lot less energy. It makes some funny gear noises when running but I haven’t seen any problem from that, I have had right angle grinders that had that noise, probably has a worm gear like a grinder.

    Junk

It worked well for a week. Then the switch stopped working. It did not shut off. After releasing the switch the motor continued to growl. It was not longer possible to change from forward to reverse or visa-vera. It is junk. Do not buy this thing if you plan to use it more than once!

Great tool for hard to reach places. High Quality
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I had a project to work on my boat that required drilling in tight spots. I purchased the Neiko 3/8″ close quarters drill hoping it would do the trick. I was very pleased when I received the drill from Amazon. The weight showed the quality of the product. I cannot believe the torque this drill has. The paddle switch is easy to operate and the variable speed makes it very versatile. The price is very reasonable. The nice feature is this drill can also be used in many other applications and not just tight spots.

I bought this drill in July 2008, I literally used it to drill approx 18, 1/2in holes. Then the gear stripped out. When I contacted the company, within one year of purchase, I received no response. Needless to say I will not do business with this company or refer this product to even the novice, save your money and buy a better drill. I found a refurbished Dewalt for around $100. Pay a little more and you’ll be happier in the long run.

I was helped by other reviews online to purchase this drill for a onetime use. Sure, I’ll use it again sometime. It works well for drilling in small spaces.

    Cheap and does the trick
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I need to drill in tight quarters very rarely – maybe once a year or so. So I didn’t want to spend a lot, but I also wanted something that wouldn’t break the first time I used it. Given that, this drill was perfect. It easily drilled a couple of dozen deep holes in very hard chestnut. It had enough power and felt medium-quality in the build. Plenty good enough for the price.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE DESIGN OF THE DRILL. THE GRIP WAS EASY TO HOLD.

    Don’t buy this
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
The drill only looks like it would work but does not. It spins like any other drill but when you put it up against a stud to drill the chuck does not spin. The motor sounds fine but the mechnical parts inside the drill do not spin under pressure. Save your money and do not buy this drill!

    Does the job!
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Faced with trying to run a new 110v outlet involving drilling through a stud, I needed some type of right-angle drill to enable doing this through the wallboard cutout for the outlet. This close-quarter drill did the trick.

Not sure about the “professional grade” label, though, since the gears in the drill did make some grinding noises which make me wonder about durability — but, still was working effectively after putting the 3/4″ hole where I needed it! So, definitely recommended, at least for moderate-demand uses.

    Great drill for the price
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Okay, its not a really great drill but for around $30 bucks how can you go wrong. I was using it with a 2 1/2 in hole saw which is beyond its capabilities and on the third hole the bit jammed in the hole and the motor kept spinning with a horrible grinding sound. I couldn’t get the chuck end to turn after that. “Great” I thought, “$30 bucks down the crapper.”

I continued on with my work until I got to a spot where none of my other drills could reach. Considering it was either quit for the day 2 hours early or give the fried drill one more try, I dutifully plugged in the Nikko and gave it one last try without much hope.

Call me a monkey’s uncle if that thing didn’t complete that hole and allow me to complete the plumbing job that day.

So, keep in mind that this IS NOT a powerful drill. Don’t use too big a bit and don’t try and drill too fast and only use it when no other drill will function and you will get a lot of happy use for a very low price.

I have since bought a $250 angle drill to make my 1 1/2″ to 3″ holes but that sucker is heavy. I still get occasional use with the Nikko when I need a 1/2″ to 1″ hole drilled in a tight area.

Got this a year ago. Excellent for the price. Needed it to finish work on 6 heavy duty drawers and pocket hole jig. So far so good.

Started the project mid last year and hibernated during fall. Completed the work this spring. Product did it’s job.

It has more than paid for itself already. I hope you have the same positive experience if you get it.

    Not for heavier jobs
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I got this drill specifically to drill holes in 2×4s so I could run electrical line. The drill’s shape worked well – even with a spade bit, it still fit between the studs. However, the transmission could not stand up to the job and it broke after just 4 holes were drilled. Hopefully a heavier-duty one will work better. Buyer beware.

Professional-Grade 3/8″ ‘Close Quarters’ Right-Angle Drill – Pistol Grip. Great vaule for the money. Am not using it hour after hour. But when I do use it, wow – great drill. Most drills cost 2 to 3 times as much than this drill.

    Nice for the price.
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
At the $27.40 Amazon is charging for this, it would be hard to beat. My local home store charges $25 + for an adapter to add to your normal drill. The adapter would be very clumsy to use compared to this.

It seems pretty well made, but I would not fall for the alleged $74.99 normal price. This is a Chinese made tool undoubtedly made by some person earning $2.00/Day. It’s pretty decent, but don’t kid yourself that you are getting a Dewalt, Makita, Bosch or other first line tool.

    Milwaukee Clone
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Milwaukee must have sold the patent because this drill is a spitting image of the “Older” original. Great price for what it is, a tool you don’t use very often. I’m sure this tool will last me my lifetime. If I remember correctly I believe this tool, (performance wise), Watts, RPM’s, torque, was a little beefier than the name brand. I would recommend it.

You get what you pay for!
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Like the old saying – you get what you pay for. Sure, it works fine, but watch out if you are looking for a variable speed drill. The trigger on this thing is either on full speed or off. It is very hard, or impossible to try to control the speed. Also, don’t think that you’ll get a keyless chuck, or one you can operate with your hand. You have to have the key, like the old style. Other than that, it works fine – like I said, you get what you pay for.

Nice Drill At A Nice Price
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This drill appears to be fairly well-made. I bought it for a specific task and it performed flawlessly. I already know of at least two more projects where this “close quarters” drill will come in handy. Since I will be generally be using this drill rather sparingly, I’m glad I bought this one instead of a higher priced one, as it does everything asked of it, and I expect it will probably last me a lifetime. And if not, well, at least it didn’t cost very much.

GREAT BUY FOR THE MONEY. YOU CAN AFFORD THREE OR FOUR COMPARED TO AN EXPENSIVE DRILL. I USE IT FOR SANDING ON THE LATHE. BURNED OUT ONE ALREADY AND ORDERED A REPLACEMENT. CANT BEAT THE PRICE.

    great drill for the price
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The drill has a lot of power but is a little bulky. It could be redisigned, however, for the price you just can’t beat it. If you use a right angle drill all day long then perhaps you should upgrade. However, if you are like me and use it infrequently, but still need a right angle drill for the occasional jobs, this is the drill.

I bought this drill in September, 2007. I use it for sanding wood bowls on my lathe. I would say I use it an hour every other day. It burned up today. That is a five month life. What should I expect for the price. I guess I could buy a new one every 5 months or spend more and get a better drill. Hopefully the vendor will replace it.

This seems like a very good drill for the price. It’s a little bulky, but works good. I can get is some darn tight places with this.
